Lerryn have a special visit!

On Wednesday 14th May, Lerryn class had some special visitors. Shonna from Assist Dogs Cornwall came into to teach us about important jobs that dogs do e.g. police, mountain rescue and some are nearly doctors as they help people with medical needs. Shonna brought in 2 of her own dogs Reggie and Honey and one of her dogs in training Buddy. Reggie is a therapy and assistance dog, Honey is a Autism support dog and Buddy is training to be a diabetes alert and school therapy dog. Reggie enjoyed a grooming session and supported the children with pretending they only had 1 leg. Honey guided the children around pretending to be blind and Buddy showed of his new skills of being able to press button and pull open a door. We finished with a story from Honey and a tummy tickle from Reggie.

Thank you to Shonna for coming in and sharing her amazing work!
