Lys Kernow

On Thursday 25th June, Year 3 had a fantastic time celebrating our Cornwall, our home, by attending the Lys Kernow Go Cornish event in County Hall, Truro. Before the event, the children created colourful leaflets showcasing their favourite parts of Cornwall and England as part of our curriculum learning. They proudly used their growing Cornish language skills, creative writing and “bryntin” pictures to share their work with others.
During the day, the children also took part in the Cornwall celebration in the County Hall discussion room. An amazing experience for one and all being in the council chamber. We enjoyed a picnic lunch outside in the shade beneath a tree, followed by some refreshing ice lollies.
Overall, it was a fantastic day, full of learning, celebration and Cornish pride. Ober da!
