On Tuesday 23rd September, we welcomed an awesome poet into Dobwalls! Matt Windle, from Birmingham, led a superb assembly for Year 2 up encouraging children to think about their futures which was interactive filled poetry, music, freestyle rapping and more!

Matt was the Birmingham Poet Laureate 16/18 and Young Poet Laureate 07/08 and the Commonwealth Boxing Champion 22/23! 

The day was loved by one and all demonstrating that we are all poets! Children in classes Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 have written poems which they will be learning to perform on National Poetry Day next week. Thank you Matt!
