SMART Trust Primary Arts Day

On Monday 29th September, a SMART Trust Primary Arts day was held.  It was a fantastic day where the oldest children of our three primary Trust schools were able to come together to share in learning based around the theme ‘Transporting Through Time’.  There was a range of activities based in Liskeard Town Hall for the morning including art with local artist Mark Gregory, music with music specialist teacher Sally Butlin, drama led by Reverend Mark and a time capsule led by teachers from Saltash Secondary and a dance workshop led by a teacher from Looe Secondary.  Prior to the event, all the children learnt two songs which were sang together in the Town Hall.  A beautiful sound as the three schools sang together with such life and enthusiasm!  In the afternoon, Dobwalls children in Year’s 5 and 6 also visited in smaller groups Liskeard Library, Stuart House and Liskeard Museum during the afternoon. We are so thankful to everyone who took part in this amazing day full of learning laughter and collaboration!  We look forward to further joint events in the future working as our SMART Trust together.
